Applied online, received an interview request over a month later. Interviewed with the hiring manager and had a great conversation. Seemed my skills and experience were a fit for the role and I was asked to submit an application and three supervisor references BEFORE continuing with the application process. I was uneasy about drawing on top-tier references for something that wasn't too far along in the process, but felt good enough about the interview to move forward. I waited four or five weeks with no word back before contacting them. Waited another week before receiving a form rejection from the hiring manager, citing that they were moving forward with other candidates. Disappointing, confusing, and frustrating. Would have appreciated something a bit more personalized, especially after making me wait over a month.

The first interview was straightforward, with a lot of questions about experience and skillset. The second interview seemed to take a sideways turn when it started off with a question about my appearance, and everything felt strange from there.
