J'ai passé un entretien chez Labster
Entretien
Initial talk followed by technical assesssment and then final interview. Initial talk just went over the basics of the company (work, pay etc). Technical assessment involved two parts, both filled out and submitted digitally. Final interview discussed technical asssessment and went reasonably well.
Two stage interview -
First stage - video interview where you are asked questions and have to respond to them.
Second stage - technical evaluation.
First stage is straight forward asking HR style evaluation questions and some more technically focussed question. One in particular, to paraphrase, was "What content would you add to the Labster platform?".
The second stage is where I had issues with Labster. It had several components to it:
- Examine a section of their platform and troubleshoot any scientific inaccuracies. Log these inaccuracies in a formal format which was designed to be sent to devs.
- Take the idea you mentioned in the first stage and completely design the scenario, including story telling, characters, and scientific theory.
To me, this felt like it was working for free. The first part felt like I was doing the job for free (troubleshooting something which wasn't finished yet) and the second felt like they were essentially asking me to give them my idea. An idea which was a subject they have not covered yet.
At this point, I pulled out of the interview process as I felt very uneasy contiuning.
