I was asked to prepare a slideshow and present it to a panel. It was a mock presentation of a DR proposal. I was told that the intent of this exercise was to demonstrate my presentation skills and ability to communicate, and that I would be judged on presentation, not the content. After the presentation, I was given feedback that my “DR proposal” was not technically sound. I was critiqued on the choices of redundancy and locations, etc. If they were going to judge me on this criteria, they should have made it clear from the start, instead of providing me false criteria for the presentation. It was a waste of time and preparation, but if this is a preview of their culture, I am glad that I failed it.
