      The job posting on Linkedin was for a marketing coordinator, but then during the interview the person said I would essentially be going door-to-door.. though she said "it isn't a door-to-door thing" but... it is. You are selling phones to low-income people. Read the job description and tell me if that is indicated ANYWHERE there, or was this falsely advertised as a digital marketing position: About the job Join our Core Business Services team and you will help support the important business enablement functions that keep our organization running strong. As a professional, you will work across teams to provide the knowledge, resources, and tools that help deliver exceptional quality service to our clients, win in the marketplace, and support growth and profitability. With so many offerings, you have the opportunity to develop your career through a broad scope of engagements, mentoring, and formal learning. That’s how we develop outstanding leaders who team to deliver on our promises to all of our major clients and in so doing, play a critical role in building a better working world for our people, for our clients, and for our communities. Job Summary: Working closely with the practice and business development professionals, you will play a pivotal role in helping us meet our go-to-market objectives and achievement of our revenue goals. You'll work independently and at certain times work with and manage others, receiving general direction rather than direct supervision. Responsibilities Include: Work with marketing practice leaders to identify our buyers’ business issues and needs Develop/Co-develop and execute strategic marketing programs that use a variety of channels of communication (thought leadership, events, industry conferences, PR/media relations, social media, digital presence, etc.) that align with these issues/needs and the practice’s overall strategy Assist the marketing lead with developing and managing the marketing budget Working closely with subject matter experts, manage the creation and distribution of thought leadership papers/surveys/reports and marketing collateral Develop and execute effective training meetings (e.g. peer-to-peer network roundtables, seminars, impacts) and industry events Team effectively with counterparts across divisions, business development, and global counterparts Adjust marketing and communications programs based on effectiveness and track the return on investment of activities to be sure we are maximizing our investments Knowledge and Skills Requirements: Open to the training of advanced marketing and communication principles Strong project management skills and proficiency in effectively managing multiple Proven talent at building relationships and influencing without authority to gain support and commitment from others; mobilize people to take action; motivate others to meet strategic goals Ability to effectively engage with senior sector leadership Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills, including the ability to develop junior staff Determination, drive and enthusiasm and ability to work independently Excellent verbal and written communication Education: Bachelor's degree, with a Marketing or Communication major preferred PROTECT YOURSELF AND DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. This is definitely not the type of company you want to work for. Plus the turn-around time for the second interview was too fast... two hours later. And they wanted me to do a group interview the following day at 7 am.. please! I read in the reviews you would have to come to the building at 7 or 8 am. People, you deserve better than this!

Are you willing to do "direct marketing" or are you set on online marketing (AKA they want you to do door-to-door... also had to ask her 2 times to clarify what "direct marketing" even meant. very vague response) describe yourself in 3 words

      First, we would like to say that we are sorry you had a negative experience with our firm as we strive to make sure that all of our employees have a positive experience, yet we acknowledge that sometimes you cannot please everyone. The whole purpose of the sales is to give all of our management trainees a strong foundation in that key area. We do conduct both sales and marketing and we understand that each are intertwined. We do participate in direct marketing, which happens to be a form of marketing if you are unaware of this it simply means that that is derivative of lack of research and understanding rather than false advertising. Our interview process does start as a quick meet and greets with the hiring manager followed by the second interview does go more in-depth. We would like to make it clear that we are not strictly a door-to-door sales company. Before making false claims, we prefer that you educate yourself. We are very team-oriented and focus on team development. We foster a positive environment here, and that is why our business is not made for people who are solely focused on individual goals. We hope that this has been informative for you. We pride ourselves on our transparency and are disappointed to hear that we may have fallen short in your circumstance. Our company makes sure that we are transparent in our work policy before selecting employees and hence don't make any fake promises which may disappoint the candidates. We do wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.

      They were really nice and open to answering all my questions. I felt really calm during the interview which was a nice change of pace since they can be pretty overwhelming
