Recruiter did not call me for the phone interview. I was ghosted.
A recruiter emailed me to discuss my interest for a position I applied for. I used their recruiting portal to provide my availability and received an email from the recruiter with date/time for a phone interview.
At the start of the interview I did not receive a call, so at the halfway mark of the call I sent an email asking if the recruiter wanted to speak and provided my availability for the rest of the day. No response that day.
The next day I emailed the recruiter with more times I could speak. No response to my follow up email.

Absolutely awful and incredibly unprofessional. The other reviews of terrible interviews sound just like my experience. I still am in shock the way that the recruiter handled my application - or rather, didn't handle it. I was scheduled for an interview and then was notified less than an hour before that they would be rescheduling. They attempted to reschedule by giving me 20 minutes notice before the rescheduled time, which was BEFORE my other timeslot. I wasn't able to even see the email within 20 minutes so I missed this "rescheduled" request. I asked to reschedule for the next business day and was never given a response. After 2 business days I reached out since no one contacted me back, even though they missed the time, not me. I followed up for days and days with little to no communication back with one liners at most like "I'm free Friday" or "10:00" with no pleasantries whatsoever and no providing of times or other options to reschedule. I continued to follow back up only for my responses to go days with no response. I finally was given one time that worked for them which of course did not work for me, since I do have a job currently and need more than one option for an interview timeslot in case I have a meeting. I was given an alternative days later and again, for one time on one day, no flexibility. Keep in mind this is all only for the phone interview, which should be pretty easy to schedule. I finally thought I had a time, since you know I emailed and confirmed on my end one of the times they mentioned - no one ever emailed me back to confirm the time at any point before the interview. Day/time of the interview and guess what? No call no show. Never even heard back from the recruiter. If this is any indication of the company in general then I plan to stay far away. Sadly, I've been looking forward to getting an interview with LendingTree for quite some time because I had a general good impression of the company, but this is definitely deterring me. Hard to say if it's the individual recruiter or the company at large, but the recruiter has definitely soiled the company impression and is probably causing many qualified applicants to look elsewhere. Beware.
