After multiple interviews and positive responses, they left me hanging on for months and then decided to not fill in the position. It really felt so disappointing after all such positive feedback.

The process had three stages: an initial screening, a video interview with the lead engineer, and a multi-stage in-person interview. I failed the technical portion of the second round, they gave me a threading problem, which I wasn't expecting. The recruiter did mention OOP and threading as focus areas beforehand, but I doubted they would ask an actual threading programming question. I was expecting LeetCode style or OOP design questions.

Hiring manager was rude. He suddenly muted himself for a call during the interview, I checked the screen and found out he was on a call. He tested me C++ coding, and said what I was doing was wrong, but I found out he didn't really know C++, he probably is a Java developer.
