Called me the day of the interview to schedule. I had no heads up to prepare ahead of time. They were kind and professional. I had a second interview where I was required to teach a lesson. Once again I was told very last minute. I think they did this on purpose to see if I could handle pressure. They gave me wonderful feedback and were extremely kind and professional.

Teachers are first interviewed on a panel (5 teacher candidates across from 5 admin, teachers, program directors). Then, Teacher’s are invited back for a demo lesson. They don’t allow you any advance notice. It was “come in tomorrow at 9am, otherwise we assume you don’t want the job.” Felt very high-stakes and stressful. I was not able to learn what grade my demo lesson would be for. During the panel, they ask questions to se wig you can tolerate the demands of the school, however, they did not seem interested in my passions of strengths as a teacher.
