I had FOUR interviews over the course of 2 months. The strange thing was I was asked the same questions on al 4 interviews. Questions that my resume already answered mind you. I had a few other positions that I turned down because in my mind I thought if I've had this many interviews then surely I'd get the job. I was never given a response after the 4th interview. It would be nice to have gotten an email saying I wasn't selected. Huge waste of time.

Thank you for your feedback. The recruiting team here at Local Marketing, Inc. is sorry to hear you had a negative interviewing experience. After last round interviews, we typically still have other candidates in the pipeline, and it may be another week or so before we make a final decision. You will always receive a follow-up once the position has been filled or if we are keeping your resume on file. We take pride in our recruiting process and overall customer service, and if you were asked similar questions in different interviews, it is only because many of our executives cannot meet at the same time and often have similar lines of inquiry. We strive to value everyone’s time and are very sorry to hear that you felt that this experience was a waste of your time. Once again, thank you for your comments; they will help us improve our hiring process moving forward. We wish you all the best in finding a position that best suits you.

J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Local Marketing

      Entretien

It's a fairly standard interview process--for me, there were 3 separate phone calls with 3 different co-owners. The scheduler was very kind and responsive, and would text updates whenever I requested them. It took about 3 weeks. The first two interviews went very smoothly, but there was some miscommunication in the wording. The way they phrase your offer is like a sales pitch, and I misunderstood, believing I already had the job before the 2nd interview. It wasn't a huge deal, but it raised a red flag. My third interview was with the highest CEO, who is incredibly distant and difficult to reach. He actually missed the interview at first and had to be reminded by the coordinator. When we finally got connected, he was driving in a remote area and lost connection once or twice. Again, weird flags. He kept bringing up my background, which included copywriting. I was not applying for a copywriting position, but the automotive experience was relevant. He went on a tangent about how copywriters never want to move up the ladder, and how they lack ambition. It was extremely odd; almost like he didn't even read my resume or application before the interview. Like he barely had any idea who I was. I wrote professionally as a copywriter for many years, very successfully--it wasn't appropriate to treat it like a frivolous, easy kid's job. At the time, I was a little desperate to switch positions, so I ignored the red flags. My interview was the same as my employment--people were nice and responsive, but they couldn't care less about me as a person, and certainly didn't care about my career or growth. One last comment: they're responding to comments about the CEO and mentioning that LMI is also co-owned by a woman. I was never outwardly hatecrimed or anything, but you cannot excuse his misogyny just because another woman runs the company. Your strength as a business needs to come from recognizing those mistakes and growing from them. We all fumble our words, but intent does not equal consequence, and you lost the "talent" that you claim to be chasing desperately.
