I had a screening call with the HR manager who was friendly, then I was invited for interview. The in-person interview was fine and the office was modern. A few days afterwards, I received a call saying that I was the only candidate they were going to move forward with and the advertised start date was pushed back a few months due to lack of client demand, but they would get in touch with me closer to the date in March.
A month later in January, I saw the post re-advertised for a March start, so I got in touch with the company. I was told that they began another round of interviews and would be in touch. After no contact, I understood that they progressed with another candidate since our previous correspondence.
The lack of clarity and follow-up made the process feel inconsistent and confusing.
