      Entretien pour MSAT Associate Scientist

      23 mars 2022
      Employé (anonyme)
      Offre acceptée
      Expérience neutre
      Entretien moyen

      Candidature

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. J'ai passé un entretien chez Lonza en oct. 2021

      Entretien

A recruiter called me about another job. I interviewed and was offered the job but I declined the offer. The recruiter then put me up for this job. I interviewed with my supervisor and coworkers. They asked fair and typical questions. However, this is some important information you should know. The job title I was offered and initially granted was "MSAT Scientist" but several weeks into the role I was notified that that was a typo in my job offer, and it was actually "MSAT Associate Scientist". The recruitment partner said the job title was MSAT Scientist in emails and over the phone. Lonza was not apologetic over having offered me a position with false information. The attitude the HR Business Partner had was more like he was correcting my mistake of saying I held that title... the one that was offered to me, the one I accepted, the one I relocated for. I only know a few people at the company and the same thing happened to one of them. This is an unfair and unethical business practice, intentional or not, and it needs to stop. Additionally, because of issues with the hiring process, most employees end up having to start at a later date than the one initially agreed upon. It appears this is because of how long Lonza takes to get administrative work done and to get essential information to new employees about what they need to do by their start date (information about things like the pre-employment drug test).
