total waste of time. I was contacted by a recruiter for the position, I realized that I was likely over the salary range and expressed this up front and showed documentation of my pay and annual bonus. The recruiter said it was, but they could "likely work with it". I interviewed and got very excited for the role and they said they would extend an offer. The recruiter contacted me again and said they couldnt work with it, they needed the original max salary and tried to convince me to take a 50k pay cut because they offer bonuses twice a year. Eventually the recruiter said that we should keep in touch because if other positions were filled by folks who were lower on the salary range they could cover my overage. After that I was completely ghosted with no further response. All in all, after stating my minimum requirements the recruiter just gave me false hope and led me through 3 phone calls and an interview, along with 10 emails to try and low ball me when he knew he couldnt meet my requirements.
