I applied directly through Mapp’s website and was contacted shortly afterward by HR for an initial 15-minute introductory call. During this conversation, they provided an overview of the company and the role, and we briefly discussed my background.
I was then invited to a first formal interview with the Director of Marketing. It was a very positive and engaging discussion where we explored the role in more depth, talked through my experience, and reviewed the remainder of their selection process, which included two additional interviews and a task.
Unfortunately, after this stage, I did not receive any further communication. Despite following up to request feedback, I never heard back and was not provided with any explanation regarding the outcome of my application.

Question 1
They asked me to walk them through my previous experience and how it matched the role, and also checked my availability to work from their London office.

Entretien
Applied directly and went through a genuinely lengthy process: an initial culture fit call, a technical conversation, plenty of email back and forth, and a full design task redesigning a webpage to new brand guidelines with a written rationale. I submitted early and got very positive feedback. That led to an in person interview in the London office lasting well over an hour with two separate interviewers. I was given a tour, talked through working patterns and spaces, and asked how I’d work with the wider team. On the way out I was literally asked in the lift whether I liked the sound of the role and would take it.
Then nothing. No offer, no rejection, no feedback, and no reply to my follow up emails. Investing that much of a candidate’s time and then going silent is poor form. If you put someone through a multi stage process, the basic courtesy is a yes or a no.
