The interview process was straightforward and thorough. After all the initial information such as grades, subject familiarity, location, etc., they provide you with a paid mock assignment to grade. Payment is through Paypal.

Entretien
They asked the applicant to provide a writing sample, evaluate and give detailed feedback on a student's writing sample in their format, complete a short reading assessment, and discuss work preferences.
Their application asks for your specific date of birth, which is illegal under EEOC regulations and can set the stage for age discrimination.
In the interest of "demographics" they also ask regarding sexual identity, ethnicity, and disability status. While those questions do have a "prefer not to say" option, the nature of the application questions leads me to believe they're looking for a very specific "type" of person, e.g. white, young, tech-savvy male. Common with start-ups. I closed out the app and moved on.
