The interview process with Marqeta was fairly standard and smooth. At first I met with a recruiter to review my qualifications and whether there were any good fits within the company. Since I looked like a good fit, the next step was to meet with one of the managers. Once that was complete and I passed that step, the next step was a take home assignment that match the SDET position I was applying for. The assignment was actually fun and was implementing some of Maqrqeta's API's and developing tests to validate them. It took about a week for me to complete the coding . Next I was scheduled for a few interviews, one to review my coding challenge, another I think was to see if I was a good fit for the company, and finally with another manager. After all the interviews were done, I met one more time with the recruiter. Due to the pandemic, all the interviewing was done remotely and over video calls. Everyone I met was professional and I enjoyed the process. The recruiter I worked was awesome. She was helpful, friendly, and always kept me updated with what was going on.
