Everyone is very freindly, however the exercise is EXTREMELY time consuming and not necessarily needed for all roles. While I 100% agree with showing your skills to be hired for a new company, I don't know that it should take 40 - 60 hrs of work especially if you're currently employed.

I applied through an employee referral and the process started with an informal meeting, followed by a phone call, and then a presentation to current Mavens team members. Throughout the process there was lots of information sharing on both sides. Everyone that I spoke with was friendly and took the time to talk about their own background/experiences and the culture at Mavens.
