Initial Phone Screen with Hiring manager went very well. Moved on to an HR Phone Screen to nail down work eligibility details and set up a time for a final on site interview.
On site final round interview consisted of six interviews and lunch over seven hours. Most questions were behavioral and situationally very relevant to the position and current problems they were trying to solve. Very few questions went into deep technical knowledge.
Hiring manager was the last interview and said "as long as the team likes you then you will get a formality interview with the VP"
Guess the team did not like me as got a rejection email from HR stating "at this time the team needs someone whose background aligns more with the teams needs" and there was no other feedback provided. I asked for more specific feedback and did not receive any.
