      Candidature

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 3 jours. J'ai passé un entretien chez Maximus en nov. 2023

      Entretien

I had the most unprofessional, disrespectful experience of my career with Maximus with a completely incompetent, lazy hiring manager. I had an executive recruiter, from the company, reach out saying he thought I was a good fit for a director level role he was trying to fill & sent a link to apply. I applied and had to fill out a questionnaire that showed I met or exceeded all the requirements for the role. Around 2 days later I got an email from the hiring manager, with the title of the job in the subject line and body of the email, asking if I was available on a certain date for an initial virtual email. I replied yes and she sent a meeting invite with the job title as the subject of the meeting. I get into the meeting and she starts talking about a completely different role. When I tell her I’m confused because I thought I was interviewing for the other role she made a very rude, disgusted face and acted like I was crazy to think I would be interviewed for that role because I’m not a good candidate for it. Then she tries to save face & say it was because I’m a better fit for this other role. Ok, I had experience in both areas so I say I’m interested in any role they can use me. She goes forward with the interview and I try to muddle through answers I wasn’t prepared for, for a job I know nothing about. She spent the majority of the time doing other things off screen, and asked questions that made it clear it was the first time she had read my resume. We get to the end of the allotted time and she tells me that if I want to be considered for the job SHE JUST INTERVIEWED ME FOR I have to go apply for. So after the interview I immediately go find the job and apply, go through the questionnaire and find that I don’t have most of the required experience. Then 24 hours later I get generic form rejections for both jobs. How are you interviewing Director level roles and treating people with this level of disrespect and unprofessionalism? Don’t waste candidates time if your hiring managers are too incompetent and lazy to be bothered to read a candidate’s application and THE TITLE OF THE MEETING THEY ARE JOINING to know what jobs they are interviewing for. For that matter, how do hiring managers at that level of job not even know what the requirements are in the job descriptions they are filling? Because, according to what was written n the website I was an exact fit for the role she seemed disgusted at the notion I would think I would ever be considered for it.
