Really bizarre. I usually have a really easy time with interviews, as I can get along with most anyone, but this one really didn't feel like a conversation, and it ended abruptly. I refrained from filling out my current and past salary (for obvious negotiation reasons) but listed my desired. The interviewer, who I believe is the owner, asked me anyway what my salary at my most recent job was. I politely stated I didn't feel comfortable disclosing my personal finances. He quickly shut down and said, "Well then, there's nothing to discuss here" and ended the interview. He told me he had "never had anyone say that in all his years". Definitely dodged a bullet - agencies and advisors have told me you have no upper hand disclosing your salary, and I believe in California it is running through the courts to be banned. Making your potential employees feel unwelcome is at least an honest disclosure of how you run your business.
