Telephone interview from HR recruiter. The interview was about 40 minutes and had the usual interview questions, but it was very awkward. The interviewer was very focused on a job that I had in the last century, which got things off to a bad start. Who cares what I sold in the last century. He was not very interested in my present job, which my resume focused on. I was shocked when he bluntly asked about my present compensation, such as 401 k match, PTO, and monthly health insurance down the deductible. He declined to state was his company offered as far as benefits. He then asked what my present pay was, but was evasive about revealing the salary being offered. It seemed like he was only interested in collecting information about my compensation and employer. He could have saved everybody time if he just looked at Glassdoor and my present employer's website. His company clearly was looking to fill this position on the cheap. He did a good job at describing the position, and I was interested in the job. if an prospective employer asks right away what you make, things clearly are not going to work out. Overall it was a waste of time. The positive note from this fiasco, is that I did receive an e-mail less that an hour later that they are "going to pursue other applicants." This was very respectful at least. How many times have we gotten zero response from an interview. I am relieved that I did not invest much time in this process. Keep on looking folks.

I thought my interview went great the person who interviewed me made it sound like it wouldn’t take long to hear back and that they would contact me I reached out to her a couple weeks after she didn’t email me back so a couple days after that I called and left a voicemail and finally got a response but she still didn’t have an answer.
