The initial screening call was with the main HR lead I believe which was straightforward and a pleasant experience as far as interviews go, and was followed by the next step which was a video call with the department lead. This however was a horriblly off-putting experience, as I had to endure listening to a codescending and rude person who seemed to think they knew more about my work experience than I did - specifically I was lectured about a company I had worked in, and made to listen about what said company specialised in, even though I had worked there. Sure enough they had little to no knowledge about the company.
The interviewer then overlooked some of my experience and claimed I did not have said experience, to which I replied pointing out that I do have said experience and it is on my CV. The interviewer then looked at my CV and instead of saying OK sorry I missed that or acknowledging it said it does not count.
Overall a horrible experience. Appeared distant and cold from the beginning, and came across as arrogant.
Really surprised by the experience, which I have not had before anywhere, and will make sure to let my network know of the terrible experience with Mintel.
