I got contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn.
During the first screening call, the recruiter asked to talk them through my CV. Not even half way through, they realized we might not be a good mutual match because of the nature of the advertised role.
Which is fine.
The only thing is I would I loved not to waste my time. The recruiter had access to my LinkedIn profile, which has exactly the same info as my CV. I understand recruiters are sales people and need to hit a certain volume of interview for one specific role. Scheduling meetings with candidates that don't match your target candidate persona is hurting your brand as an employer.
The recruiter was lovely and polite, and I agree after we spoke that this isn't a great fit. But the recruiter knew than before jumping on the Zoom call, and I have wasted precious time to prep for this call and attend it for nothing.

Recruiter reached out to me back in October. Had various interviews and was a very start/stop process. Original recruiter was fired, one of the team members I interviewed with left the company. No one would explain why or what happened with them. Company would go on hiring freeze and week later, no more freeze. Red flags everywhere. Final round was a presentation round which is a lot of effort for an interview process. They expect you to know their product inside/out during the presentation when this is only an interview. Overall, declined offer as the interview process is indicative of the company and believe I dodged a bullet.

Company makes very positive impression and two people I had a pleasure to speak with were highly professional. After speaking with recruiter and team leader unfortunately I never received any feedback about next stage or disqualification, lack of communication at that stage was a bit disappointing.

Process was thorough and organized, there is an interviewee portal used that details where you are in the process, who you've met with, who you're going to meet with, and any reference materials needed to complete each step. Communication was reliable throughout the process.
