During the hiring process you will show your confidence in the two main key skills that are required: communication and problem-solving. If you have a background in finance is very welcome but they will fully train you on all the client solutions (products and services).

Question 1
It is possible that some technical questions will come up. You better have a look on Morningstar Direct (the company's flagship product) and trying to have some basic facts and figures (you can find them in internet). Some technical questions may be like: what is a sharpe ratio.... Basic knowledge is found in Morningstar Investing Classroom.
