Applied once, got a rejection email. Applied again and reached out to the recruiter on LinkedIn and got and she emailed me to schedule an interview. (Job poster is listed on LinkedIn postings, not the Motorola Solutions site, though you'll still be directed there to apply.) After the interview with her, I was supposed to interview with the hiring manager, who was a department lead. I got a call from someone else who works with him instead because something came up. He asked a lot of questions about my knowledge of and experience with machine learning (eg. what regressors/classifiers I'd used, whether I'd used gradient descent) and some basic OOP. I mentioned a past project I worked on and he asked why I used ML for it. He gave me a lot of positive feedback and apologized for focusing so much on ML because that's his specialty. I said I'd enjoyed discussing ML with him and I'm really passionate about it too. He said the department lead would reach out to me the next day, basically implied that he'd give him positive feedback. He never reached out. I sent the recruiter a thank you email and 2 follow up emails a couple weeks and then about a month later, then called her twice, left a message once, still no response. Literally ghosted me.
