I applied online. Received an invitation to a pre recorded video screening. Asked about my past experience and if I am used to working outdoors. A few days later was invited to a live phone interview, again am I comfortable working out doors and questions regarding safety and it’s importance. Safety IS job 1. A few days later I was extended a conditional job offer contingent on A background check by the Norfolk Southern PD and a medical exam. Yes... they check what you put on your app.

You will be working outside in the dead of winter and under a blazing summer sun. Are you experienced with working in this type of environment and are you ok with it?
A board of interviewers attended paying attention to your ability to answer question pertaining to your responsibilities and character. Simple! Going in with professionalism and the ability to learn is key.

Entretien
Very simple and very quick. Just be sure to follow instructions before you go. They send a lot of information to you with very explicit directions. Of course, you should never be late. Patience is required.
