I was interviewed 4 times, kind of step by step interviews . 1st one was “get to know each other” with the hiring manager. Second one was “case study” including the presentation that I prepared on certain problems and technical things asked before the interview. Third one I met with HR with general topics and questions to reveal some charactherisctics. Then the 4th interview I met with the director and the hiring manager together which was also relaxed with mildly technical discussions and general questions. Finally 5th interview was with the VP Procurement. After 4 succesful interviews (I got feedback after every meeting thanks to the polite and transparent hiring manager and the director), I was verbally told that I was fitting multiple positions and it was very close for me to get an offer. Even the director verbally told me (during 4th interview) that the 5th interview with the VP will be kind of a formality meeting during which The VP would get to know me. So the 5th interview comes by, I met with the VP and everything was going well, nothing odd happened during 15 minute interview and then 1 week later I was rejected not only from the first position but also from all opportunities. Obviously the VP didn’t like me for some reason during our 15 minute meeting and he denied me from all opportunities. He was polite and politicial but he did not really try to listen to me nor did he tried to get to know me at all. Don’t get hopeful until signing the contract (this is a general rule of thumb though you can’t help but getting hopeful after the director, hiring manager HR endorses you). Even though I had aced all 4 interviews and I was verbally told that I will be contacted by HR for salary package etc, VP wiped me from all roles for some reason that he wouldn’t tell me. I could only get feedback with a closure interview where the VP basically “let me down slowly”.
