      Entretien

Quite unique; there are many points that stand out about Octopus Energy @ Catcliffe. The foyer is really bright and welcoming. As was Cam H, the friendly chap who sat at the desk helping direct people, both prospective and employed staff alike. I think having someone like Cam there probably calmed my nerves a bit. The interview process was fluid enough; with only one elongated waiting period prior to the driving assessment (due to it being dinnertime for those hard-working office staff...) I enjoyed the Icebreaker, it helped me read the dynamic of the people around me. Nothing much more to say about that! The pallet stacking task was interesting. It seemed easy enough, but I'm betting that the weights and load types are often left without scrutiny by many people. The chap in charge of this task had a wealth of experience in the working world, so it was a pleasure being able to hear his delight at working at Octopus. The interview with the Hiring Manager Kerry was great. She was thorough with her questioning, patient with my (occasionally obfuscated) replies, and Kerry left room for some general chat too; certainly helps if the aim is to get a good glance at a person. I was even able to offer a fact about Octopus Energy that even Kerry didn't know! (Lille, Fr.) Finally I was taken on the Driving Assessment. I had ample opportunity to show my learning, and my general level of skill and awareness on the roads local to Catcliffe/Attercliffe etc. I was proud that the Lightfoot Feedback System seemed to give me high marks at the end of the drive! Cumulatively I was made to feel happy, open, welcome and confident throughout my time there. Can't really mark them down for food and drink; that was my problem! Haha.

      Question 1

If you are late to a client's address; only to find that upon arrival you have broken items in your cargo that were intended for this client, and now the client is becoming angry - how would you handle this situation?
