      Entretien

      The technical interview process consisted of two in-depth sessions. The first round, lasting over an hour, involved discussions with a co-founder and a technical team member. The second round focused on Java expertise and included a senior developer and the same technical team member, considering my lack of Golang experience. Overall, I gained a very positive impression of the company's mission and the team building it. The technical assessment was comprehensive, covering a broad range of topics. However, the extensive nature of the questioning, coupled with a subsequent coding session, left me feeling fatigued and resulted in a performance below my usual capabilities. This highlights the demanding nature of a typical senior developer interview, where encyclopedic knowledge is often expected. The HR interaction seemed primarily focused on logistical communication. Following the interview review, there appeared to be some misinterpretations of my responses reflected in the feedback, with an emphasis solely on the negative aspects, thus quite unprofessional.

      Wide range of many questions, DB, atomicity, transactions, algorithm complexity, java memory, object hashes etc, threads, lists, messaging, the infrastructure of microservices etc., coding task of a binary tree height.

      Similar experience to what I see others had before. 3 rounds: first was a nice HR chat, they explained the general look&feel of the company. second was a call with two engineering managers who explained how it all works from the technical point of view, they asked some questions of my experience and how I'd do something from more high and architectural point of view, I asked them some technical questions about the project, etc third part was an extensive technical interview about databases & golang code, lasted 1.5h after that third interview I got the rejection letter saying "knowledge is assessed to not be enough", even though I felt really confident after the call because I've answered all of their questions (maaaaybe 1 I didn't know from top of my head). so, I don't know what their expectations are, since I knew everything they asked.. but yeah, it is what it is.. at the end I'm left confused and somewhat angry because I am usually really self-critical and this time I don't see what the problem was

      The interview consisted of three parts. The first part was a classic introduction where we briefly talked about ourselves and got to know each other as individuals. The second part was technical but only at a high level. It involved asking some technical questions related to the Go programming language and my current experience from previous jobs. The interview lasted approximately an hour, and they often asked questions off-topic. In the end, they didn't even let me know their decision. I had to reach out to them myself, to which they finally responded with feedback. The feedback itself was very inauthentic, impractical, and misleading. They often mentioned things that, from their perspective, I did not meet or lacked experience in, but the reality was different. It seemed as if they conducted the interview out of necessity and didn't genuinely want to hire a new candidate. The overall impression from the people conducting the interview was quite odd. Overall, I rate their approach very negatively.
