Entretien
Pretty standard interview process. It started with a 30-minute phone interview with the recruiter that just went over the basics. The next step was a 60-minute Zoom interview with the hiring manager and someone who would be a peer, diving into the more technical nature of the position. And finally, the last interview was a 30-minute Zoom interview with the CEO of the company that was focused more on long-term goals, career aspirations, and why you want the job.

Question 1
How do you prioritize multiple projects competing for the same resources?
The interview was awkward and I think the company can work on their recruiting process. When I stated my salary expectations, I was told I was quite outside of the range. My salary expectations are listed on LinkedIn, so this tells me recruiters are not doing their due diligence. The range was also quite low for someone with the experience they are looking for. The recruiter then proceeded to go into great details about bonuses and convince me of the salary range. I said I'd be happy to continue talking about the position and it was an about face. Suddenly there was another person far ahead of me in the process and they wanted to be "transparent." I think that's too transparent, and instead they should be more up-front. It's more courteous to a candidate's and recruiter's time to review a candidate's salary expectations, resume, and cover letter before reaching out for an interview. Also, if you book a 30 minute interview, a recruiter needs to keep it to 30 minutes. Poor time management is not a good first impression.
