I applied for OkCredit online in January, 2021. A TA got in touch with me within 2 days and 2 rounds of algorithm interviews were scheduled. The 1st round was fairly easy, with the interviewer doing a good job of breaking the ice with technical discussions. The 2nd interview started off fine with a brief introduction, but the back-to-back questions about why I wanted to change my job were a bit annoying. I politely stated that I felt like my career growth was stagnating and change of environment and domain would probably help, but the interviewer wasn't satisfied with my answer, and went on to state that boredom and stagnation can happen anywhere. Not that I disagree, but I feel these ideas border on philosophy and should have no room in a professional tech interview. Even if such questions are to be raised, they can be done more respectfully. Interviewers should try to make candidates comfortable.
