      Entretien

      I had a phone screen with the recruiter, a 1st interview with a manager and a team captain that had structured questioning, and a 2nd interview alone with a VP. Going into the 2nd interview I felt good as I had prior mortgage servicing experience. The VP that I spoke with used “conversation format”. I had opportunities in both the phone screen and at both interviews to discuss, at great length, my commitment to excellent customer service. When I followed up after the 2nd interview, I was informed that the VP had told the recruiter that I left the 2nd interview early, which was an outright lie. When she was done with questions during the “conversation” which was moderately lengthy with a lot of back and forth about my customer service experience, she asked me if I had any questions for her, and I asked her 4 questions (annual performance, challenges for a new rep, and for the unit, and when they would make a decision) which she answered completely. She then walked me to the door and shook my hand in the lobby in front of the receptionist. The VP also told the recruiter that I wasn’t interested in the position I applied for and wanted to be a trainer. I only referenced training in both interviews when asked what I would want to do there in the future. I referenced training because almost every place I worked for liked me to train new people or new processes and it is something I’m good at. With the VP, I also referenced possibly mortgage banking if it came up as an opportunity in the future. I’ve been asked all the time about future career paths in prior interviews ,so I didn’t see anything wrong with that. I drove an hour to get there- twice and put my heart and soul into telling them why I would be a great client services specialist for them and relaying around 15 years of prior customer service experience-giving examples and strategies that I used. I would stay as far away from these people as possible. Integrity and honesty are critical in the hiring process, especially when you’re a major financial institution. And wow I got an eyeful of some bad stuff! I could allege motivations for why this happened, but I choose to be positive but reflect on the most bizarre behavior I’ve ever seen from a company in 20 years. Wow 😊

      Asked about traffic and what route that I took to work. The questioner said most people that worked there lived north or south of the job site.
