I appreciated how quickly the process moved (this conveyed to me that the hiring team was focused, motivated, and considerate of my time). I received an e-mail from the talent team within a couple days of applying, and my first call (with the hiring manager) was only a couple days after that. I felt like I was kept informed throughout the process (no need to pester for updates) and I genuinely enjoyed all the conversations I had with each member of the team. I came away with the belief that I'd feel very welcome and at home with this group. I was looking forward to joining them and excited to dig in and get started. A week after the final round (which was the fourth or fifth call); however, I was pretty shocked to learn I wouldn't be receiving an offer. The individual I worked with in talent was kind enough to share context w/ me re: the decision. I could understand why the hiring team made the call that they did but knowing my own capabilities and versatility, I can't help but feel they didn’t make the best decision. In any case, I really liked this team, their mission, and what I heard about their culture. If you're reading this and considering applying for a position, I'd encourage you to do so.
