Applied back in October. Process was really odd. Before I applied, I knew my experience wasn’t fit for a Senior role, but I figured to apply to get in as a regular HVAC Tech. They had me come in for an assessment. I did it. They said if I passed, I would move onto an interview. I never got feedback on how I did, and one week later, I got an email thanking me for my interest but they extended an offer to another candidate. Odd part is 3 months later, the job posting is still up. I assume perhaps I passed the assessment, but background-wise I did not qualify for a Senior role. Which is totally fine, but why waste my time inviting me for an in-person assessment??
