      Entretien

The most unprofessional interview process I've ever experienced. I applied on 1/14 and got a request for an interview on 2/11. I agreed and the recruiter set up a phone interview for 2/16 at 9 am. 9:05 am rolls around and I email them to make sure they have my correct phone number. They reply saying they were just about to email me saying a "911 meeting" came up and asked to reschedule for 1 pm, which I agree to. 1 pm comes around and I finally get a call. We chat, but the recruiter is clearly distracted by the sound of the phone call. They also ask me to pronounce my last name, which I repeat several times, as they pronounce it in the most offensive ways possible. 7 minutes in, they say they're sorry and have to hop off, but promise to call me back. It's almost 1:45 pm and no callback. I write an email to the recruiter asking if everything is okay. The "911-level" emergency was a new hire not getting their work laptop delivered, something that DEFINITELY could have waited until the end of our 30-minute interview. They ask if I can reschedule AGAIN for the following morning at 9:30 am. Finally, we have the interview. The recruiter doesn't seem like they read my resume at all. They are asking basic questions that could be answered from a 1-minute scan of my application. They then drone on for 10 straight minutes about what the company does, which could have been summed up in a couple of sentences. When I asked about compensation, I was told that it was hourly and they didn't know what the rate was. I told them what other companies were offering me in terms of salary and they instantly went with the lower end of it. The recruiter said that the hiring manager would like to speak to me that same day over video and to be ready for a link. No response until 2/19 with a generic rejection email.

      Question 1

Tell me about yourself. What is your experience? Are you legally allowed to work in the U.S.? How do you pronounce your name?
