The interviewing process was unnecessarily long, spanning from May to July with four stages, and communication from the team was severely lacking. Willing to call this out publicly due to how poorly handled the entire experience was.
Applied in May, four interviews in June, and received a job offer in July, both via email and phone. However, four weeks went by without a formal contract. Then was informed via phonecall that the position was now based in the US instead of the UK, and the offer had been rescinded. This was beyond frustrating, especially since having stopped applying elsewhere after receiving the offer, causing a financially difficult situation.
Then several weeks later, looked online to learn that a man had been hired for the role in the UK, making it clear that the entire process was dishonest, feeling completely misled and defrauded.
Reached out directly to the team via email to display my frustration but received no response which only adds to the frustration.
The job would also entail a 9-6, 5 day in the office working pattern which in 2024, is horrific.
Deeply ashamed to have even interviewed with this company, as it ended up being a huge waste of time.
Advice to management would be to prioritise transparency and communicate with candidates early, rather than leaving them to constantly follow up.
