I applied online, but showed up to the OH before I received an invitation. That's OK, because PSA OHs are open to the public. The process was pretty much like what has been described in previous posts on this site. First part was a video and informational presentation from the recruiters about the company, followed by a Q & A session and a break. After the break, everyone gets in the order that they arrived and goes back into the room and answers a random question and reads a card with part of an announcement on it. That's all there is before another break and being divided into two groups and sent to two different rooms. One room gets an interview and the other room is sent home. If you're thinking about going to an OH, especially if you're traveling, keep this in mind. There is no guarantee that you will get a face-to-face interview. All OHs that are open to the public are pretty much the same. The initial screening process is flawed, but fair. I have been to more than one OH and I have been on both sides of it. I have been sent home after the initial screening and I have been selected for an interview. While it is true, that they sent good people home each time, the ones they keep are very well chosen and deserved it. Just don't forget that they are watching you from the moment you arrive. It is important to dress professionally. I cannot stress this enough. Be sociable, but do not be boisterous and loud. Try and talk to everyone, not just the same people. When you answer your question, don't be a show off. Just be yourself and answer from the heart. Relax, smile, and enjoy the day.
