Received an email Friday asking if I was available for an interview in the next few days as they "were very interested in my skills and background". Assuming they meant early next week I gave them a few time suggestions on Monday and Tuesday. I receive a response Monday, mid-day asking to speak with me on Tuesday. The wording used in the email was very unformal and by the improper use of spacing and commas, appeared to be rushed. I prepared myself on Tuesday sitting by the phone and waited 5 minutes after our scheduled time before the call came through. The interview was a total of 10 minutes and only entailed 4 questions that were more or less yes/no questions before leading to the fact that the recruiter didn't t think this is a role I am looking for and the job posting is inaccurate in that is more sales-oriented, and ultimately encouraged me to apply for other roles(it did feel like I wasn't given the time of day and didn't match the email I received to interview). I expressed my experience with sales, but to avoid confrontation said I would follow up if I saw another role I was interested in. The next morning (Wednesday) I sent over a thank you email and advised that I applied for another role in the company that I am interested in. Then on Friday afternoon, with no response from the recruiter, I received an automated email saying they will not be proceeding with my application. All-in-all I saw this as an unprofessional experience, despite hearing good experiences from other individuals who had applied here. I believe there could have been a better experience provided here, even if I truly did not fit either of these jobs perfectly.

Phone interview followed by a zoom call and some role playing. HR recruiter and hiring managers were great to work with - professional, courteous, and upfront. Left a very favourable impression of the organization.
