Applied through Linkedin, was contacted by Talent Recruiter less than 24 hours later. She told me to partake in an online interview where I recorded myself answering questions then submit them and that I had 24 hours to finish the interview after it started. A couple days later I was contacted again by the same Talent Recruiter and asked if I would be interested in an in-person interview with hiring manager and briefed me on what to expect. I met with hiring manager and we went over my resume, he drilled me on several questions regarding multiple topics (experience, potential sales situations) and we did a mock phone sales call. (I had zero sales experience but was told multiple times it wasn't a requirement). After the interview, they emailed me with a "project" to learn about their online system and to be prepared to present it to a mock panel of professors. That was pretty much all the direction I had. I prepared as best as I could, was able to answer all of their questions by "hitting the nail on the head" in their words and was then told to expect a FOURTH round where the VP of the department would call me to casually chat about whatever.... I followed up the next day and almost instantly received an email from the Talent Recruiter that they were focusing on other candidates. I'm not bummed I didn't get the position, but telling someone to prepare for the next round when there were other candidates in mind is, in my opinion, somewhat unprofessional.
