point72 quant research intern 2024. Asked me questions of portfolio optimization, linear regression, how to deal with missing values, how to deal with categorical variables, backtesting, time series, convex optimization.

Following question was asked in expedia online assesment. I dont have any more information as I found this in hackarrank experience section. Does anyone understand this question? How to solve it?

Entretien
Very technical based for multiple rounds (6+) focusing on calculus, probability, stats, and a few brain teasers. There is a coding test at the end, where you are given a certain time frame to submit back.
Introducing yourself, and went deep on past project experience, the interviewer went quite deep on describing those projects. Followed by two tech questions. Both questions are about probabilities and stats.

Hr Interview then Meeting with a QR; Not very difficult, but they tend to ask questions in OLS or Coding. And they valued previous experiences in the related fields. Not a good experience.
