Applied on Quicken website. Received a follow up call & email about 10 days later. Set up a phone interview with recruiter for 2 weeks later. Phone interview was about 20 minutes. Emailed portfolio. Received follow up call about 2 days after interview. The interview wasn't overly difficult - if it was an in person interview. But it was more in depth than most phone interviews I've had before. I have to say I was not prepared for it.

I sent out a cold email applying to a position they were not currently hiring for. I was contacted the very next day by a recruiter from Quicken Loans to set up a phone interview for that same afternoon. They interviewed me for a senior-level interior design position even though I'm an entry-level applicant. When I questioned this, they said they like to interview applicants for all open positions. I received a follow up call 2 days after the interview to let me know that I did not have enough experience and they were not currently hiring for entry-level positions. Phone interview lasted about 15-20 minutes. Asked pretty generic questions. Interview process went very fast! I just think there may have been a misunderstanding about my experience level and what I was applying for.
