      I have mixed feelings on my interview experience. The company decided to start doing one-way video interviews on this role (it sounded like this may have been their first time) and I did not get a chance to fully explain my background. They asked four questions and only provided two minutes to answer each one so it very much limited the answers. They were super organized in leaving a personalized video for this role at the beginning and did send feedback to me within days which was very positive compared to other companies. The sad part is that they did not see my technology skills being up to their standards but did not provide enough time in the video interview process to explain my skills in social media marketing, CRM usage, API integration, and even a bit of e-commerce experience. If they insist on using only two minute answers I would encourage the addition of the question “what makes you interested in this role and how are you a unique fit compared to others?” They are a startup and would greatly benefit from my background but I did not feel that this was an efficient process for screening. I am not a huge fan of one-way interviews as candidates do not get to ask any questions or learn more about the organization in the process and it seems to complicate things for disability candidates such as myself who need more time to unpack why their journey has evolved in bringing them to this type of role. I would say Postscript is better than most in providing personalized outreach and giving feedback but the process is still impersonal in this method of interviewing so I just caution other applicants they may experience the same lack of any direct two-way communication from the company.
