This was the most unprofessional interview experience I’ve ever had. Of course I’m aware that many employers are doing salary research while interviewing candidates for a new role. However this felt like the only reason they even contacted me. I clearly stated on my resume that I was a remote candidate and was told almost immediately that they were not open to remote work for this position. After we decided it would not be a fit based on this they still asked me what my salary expectations would be for a role like this so they could offer an adequate salary to another candidate... I have never experienced anything like this in my career. Hire a consultant if you’re looking for this information! No need to waste the time and effort of people who are genuinely interested in a role!
