Initially, a phone screening was scheduled and it was pretty much an intro to the company culture/ values and plans for growth which I felt really resonated with me. They wouldn’t discuss pay yet readily acknowledged my passion and prior experience which led to more calls with others on the leadership team in the weeks that followed. I was quite happy with their accommodations, meeting via zoom since I had not yet lived in-state! However, their timelines and the position(S) offered to me meaningfully changed as a result of an internal candidate also looking to relocate. I'd say this is when the candidate and interview process drastically changed - for the worse. I was told to expect an offer… However, they became mostly unresponsive and unprofessional (communicating via text message)..clearly prioritizing the current employee experience while degrading my own. After 5+ weeks of waiting to know whether both positions they considered me for were still on the table, they got budget for their internal transfer and neither position was extended to me.

The interview process took 5 weeks total. I had an interview each week. I was honored to be called back each time for another interview, and absolutely understood them wanting to take their time. During the 5 weeks, I turned down other positions in case this one was an offer, and was of course not working. After all that time, they never even had the respect to call me and let me know that I was not selected. I waited for two weeks (figuring they wanted to take their time as they had been doing.) before I reached out myself, and still never recieved a call back.
