They called unscheduled, asked how much money I wanted, said “oh that’s too much sorry”. And then I said okay and attempted to end the call, and they started attempting to negotiate salary. I had not even been interviewed at this point.

They only asked me how much money I wanted. It seemed to be a screening call but then they proceeded to try to negotiate salary. Very strange
