I had applied and was contacted by a recruiter. The recruiter was really a nice guy but when he described this job, I wasn't interested at all. This job position is basically a Bait and Switch sales job. You do "marketing research" and try to contact various executives throughout any industry to come to these events that RTM Business Group holds. You have to get these executives to come agree to be invited to a Zoom call before you give them your sales pitch. It's a virtual cold calling position. They had advertised the salary as $60,000 but of course, that is if you make any sales so you'll be really starting out at $40,000. The recruiter went further on about how I will go through training to be able to speak to executives and know how to convince them. I was rolling my eyes the entire time. These companies are really dressing up these sales positions nowadays by calling them these elaborate names and not being very detailed about the job in the job postings.
