Half-hour phone interview with 3 senior associates, covering interpersonal and engineering background and interests; checked for alignment in terms of professional goals.
Afterwards, in person interview (required air travel to office, which was reimbursed promptly) that lasted from about 1 p.m. to about 5 p.m.--met with several groups within the office, including HR representatives, senior engineering associates, and fellow "newbies" who had been at the office two to four years.
In person interview was somewhat repetitive--elevator speech at each new group, similar questions. Most important is knowing exactly which division you are intended for, as well as acknowledging flexibility for learning the ropes across the office/company.
Turnaround from email contact to phone interview less than two weeks; from phone interview to in-person interview about the same (offered 3 dates from which to choose, happened to choose the date with a week for planning travel); time to notification 3 to 4 weeks because I was at the front of the interview process.
