I am sorry that you feel you had a negative experience. For many positions I do schedule an online meeting as the first interview since that is much more time effective (especially for the applicant, who does not need to travel to our office, plus we can schedule around your schedule). Anyhow we do get many applicants and when a decision is made for an applicant then we let everyone know, again to be respectful of your time. The fact that this happened so shortly before your scheduled interview is coincidence.
