I met with a Software Engineer there and we reviewed my resume and he asked some standards questions. I was assigned a difficult follow up project completely outside my skill and knowledge base. I worked on the project for two days and contacted the Software Engineer and said the project was not complete do to its difficulty but I would be happy to present as is or work on it longer. The SE responded no problem, the choice is completely up to you. I said let's set up a time this week and I'll present whatever I had up until that point. I did not receive a reply but continued working on the project and more than doubled the time I'd spent on it up until that point. I followed up 36 hours later and received a reply the next day rejecting me from the position before I had a chance to present the project I'd spent many hours working TLDR: difficult project assigned. rejected before time consuming project can be presented
