Entretien pour Content Writer, Project Manager

      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Reframe (GA) (Atlanta, GA) en avr. 2025

      Entretien

I had a highly disappointing interview experience with Reframe. I initially applied for a content writer position and was told during the screening call that I might also be a strong fit for an open product manager role. After the call, the interviewer confirmed that the hiring team wanted to consider me for both roles. I was then asked to complete two assignments: 1. A ~500-word blog post on “Alcohol, Dopamine, and the Hedonic Setpoint” (paid $30). 2. A full UX copywriting audit of their entire onboarding experience (30–40 screens) — including identifying issues, rewriting screen-by-screen copy, suggesting improvements for clarity and engagement, and reducing user friction. I included screenshots and detailed recommendations throughout. This second assignment was extensive UX work, not a quick test. For context: I’m a senior UX researcher and consultant who freelances at $120/hr. I’ve done similar deliverables for $600+ — this was provided to them completely free. After submitting both assignments, I was ghosted entirely. I followed up multiple times just to confirm they had received the documents (they required Google Drive access), and I received no reply whatsoever. Two weeks later, I followed up again to ask about the $30 they said I’d be paid for the blog post — I received $29.10 via PayPal with no message or acknowledgment. To summarize: • I was told I was under consideration for two roles • I completed substantial work that would normally be paid consulting • I was never contacted again • I was paid (under) for one assignment, and exploited for the second This felt extractive, disrespectful, and unprofessional. I hope they reconsider how they treat candidates — especially those asked to do real, strategic work under the guise of a “hiring process.”

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

“They asked me to rewrite the copy for their entire onboarding experience — around 30–40 screens — including screenshots, copy edits, UX issue identification, and recommendations to improve clarity, engagement, and reduce friction. It was essentially a full UX copy audit, with no compensation or follow-up.”
