Entretien pour Head of Sales Operations

      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Revolut (Londres, Angleterre) en nov. 2021

      Entretien

The interview process consisted of 3 rounds: Round 1: a call with HR - standard HR type of call, motivations and why you want the role. Round 2: A case study - typical consultancy style case study.. again fine. Read up on business model and Revolut itself Round 3: This is where things fell apart a little. The interview is with Chief Rev Officer, a very arrogant, bullish, blunt and simply rude person. After being warned by HR that the CRO may not greet you or say hello, it set the tone perfectly for a terrible interview process. After arriving 15 mins late, with little or no apology... the interviewer didn't even bother with putting their camera on (remote IV due to covid). The interviewer asked very standard Qs (the interview itself was not hard, but the interview style was SHOCKING!), rudely and barely listened to answers. When they did listen, if they didn't like what you had to say they would simply disagree. I was told how my current employer (a FTSE 250 company) was not working on the right things (of course they know best!). The interviewer also then signed off the interview saying "I think we are done here"... indeed we were. Generally speaking the culture at Revolut seems very toxic. HR warned me that if the CRO asks how many hours I work "not to answer with a number below 60 per week..." very encouraging from HR! I was also told by an employee that weekend work frequently happens - again not encouraging at all and not something they have in the culture section of the website. Be warned... Overall the final interview was hugely off-putting. I didn't get an offer but would have been v unlikely to accept given the attitude of leadership and terrible style. Arrogance and rudeness is simply not a leadership style I would want to work for and believe while the company culture on paper looks like a cool start up... the reality would be far from this.
