The interview consisted of 3 rounds, with a mix of technical and functional questions related to experience and scenario-based questions along with general programming. In the end, after clearing all rounds ultimately didn't get the offer due to budget issues. I quoted x+30% as expected and had a counter for x+40% but after clearing all rounds HR got back to me that the doable comp for that position was x-20% (current comp - 20%). It is outrageous that a company is interviewing candidates after knowing current and expected and offering less than current.
